Tag Beckett – Debut Solo Exhibition

Tag Beckett

“Ascension” Exhibition

Opens Wednesday November 20th at 6pm

Banquet Hall at Smock Alley Theatre

Ascension deals with the power of elevation – whether it is a flying fish that cannot fly or an elephant that is too heavy to become airborne, Tag Beckett is here to help.

A multi-faceted artist who works with a broad range of media, Tag Beckett has recently completed his first children’s book and believes that art is all about concepts; having a good idea and making it a reality. Although having previously taken part in a number of group exhibitions, this is Tag Beckett’s first solo exhibition and visitors to Smock Alley Theatre will enjoy a series of paintings that celebrate his belief that, in life, anything is possible.

As an artist that employs painting, drawing and graphic design in his work, Tag Beckett is influenced by artists from many different disciplines but highlights painters Louis Le Brocquy and Mark Chagall as well as musician John Frusciante as primary influences.

“Ascension” is an exhibition and an experience not to be missed, and will run from November 20th  to December 18th  next.

Venue: Smock Alley Theatre, Exchange Street Lower, Temple Bar, Dublin 8
