So on a Monday Morning in April…

So on Monday April 4th 2011 the contractors moved in to begin the work of bringing Smock Alley Theatre – 1662 back to life. What a day!
Between generous philanthropists, The Irish Government, Temple Bar Cultural Trust and a bunch of serious goodwill from a bunch of seriously dynamic people, the games have begun!
And what amazing work has already been done. Hard hats and high viz vests, wheelbarrows and jackhammers. It’s all action in the west end of Temple Bar.
We have all the systems in place to deliver for Dublin, Ireland and the world our finest theatre of 1662-Smock Alley Theatre.
Truthfully, I dont know of a more significant cultural project on the planet right now!
Please support this project – we need your support now more than ever – YOU CAN HELP DELIVER THIS PROJECT FOR DUBLIN, IRELAND THE WORLD. Go to mycharity.ie to donate.
The amount of small , medium and large donations we have received through mycharity.ie has been heartwarming to say the least. Every cent DOES help, has helped and will help us as we move closer to our opening.
Best wishes,
Patrick Sutton
Director
